Weekend解散（1983年）後、太極拳を教えつつ、カイロプラクティックの施術を学んでいたアリソン・スタットン。80年代末、ギター奏者のイアン・ディヴァインと組んで音楽活動を再開し、1988年、アルバム”The Prince of Wales”を発表。その1曲目が’Under the Weather’。優美で柔和で囁きかけるようなのに力強く深みのある声が際立つ。スペインのベーシストでプロデューサー、Paco Trinidadによるリミックス・ヴァージョンはアルバム・ヴァージョンより明るく軽やか。
